I’ve been trying to figure out who this George Paine guy is. He operates the website known as warblogging.com. Independent weekly describes him as “one of the most calm and intelligent antiwar voices on the net”.
Here’s another blog I came accross today, operated by independent journalist, Christopher Allbritton.

Does anybody know who won an award at the MTV Music Awards? Of course not, we were all too busy (or perhaps turned on??) watching Britney Spears and Madonna share an open mouthed kiss. I didn’t watch the award ceremony, I happened upon that little tid-bit of info scanning some news sites. That was the headline (and biggest story) of this particular web site. Though it shouldn’t surprise me that the biggest story of the MTV Music Award ceremony is something that is totally unrelated to music, since for years now 90% of all programming on MTV has been unrelated to music. I mean come on people, everyone knows that is an industry which survives on decadance, sex and failure. Why two of the biggest artists in the music industry sharing a kiss is news at this point is beyond me.

In other news, the Head Cheese George Bush addressed the nation on Sunday. Again, why this is news is beyond me. no, seriously, I’m not the first to say it, but does he not have a “deer-in-the-headlight” look on his face anytime he speaks in public? And gee, could you break up your sentances into a few more pieces? That is one man who has complete disregard for all punctuation whatsoever. I mean, I couldn’t follow the speech because I didn’t know where one sentance ended and the other began.
