She’s been really lethargic lately, sleeping a lot more than usual. We figured it was just because of all the visitors and crazyness of the holidays. She got really sick this morning, vomiting, tremors, disorientation. I’m not sure what was wrong and I’m not sure she’s completely recovered yet. She’s still got these strange tremors. So, I’m taking her to the vet tomorrow. I did some research on her symptoms. I discovered something I had heard about before but didn’t really take to seriously at the time. Apparently grapes are quite toxic to dogs. It can cause severe kidney failure and sometimes death. I called the vet and they don’t seem to think she’s in serious danger since I’ve only fed her a total of five grapes in the past week. There are also several more plants that are dangerous three of which I have in my house (but their out of reach of Chani, thank goodness). If you have a pet it might be a good idea to browse the sights below and become familiar with some of these plant names.
