So far I seem to be keeping up with homework ok. The reading hasn’t been as bad as I thought. I’m disciplining myself to read a 100 pages a day and I’ve been managing quite well with that. I’m starting to get a cold so I think I’ll take a rest for tonight and hopefully finish my last novel tomorrow. Maybe I’ll even be able to write the annotations this weekend and be done with everything a week early. Looks like I will be able to handle two classes a semester without much difficulty, as long as I can keep my current work schedule.
We’ve discovered that our dog Chani would have been a useful pet to have at the front during WWI. She’s excellent at digging trenches, the proof of which can be seen at the back of our garden. Mike and I are convinced she’s building a defense against our neighbors’ fierce fighting poodles.

Jennifer William, my friend, co-worker and blossoming poet has published one of her poems on poetry.com. I’m unable to link directly to her poem so look for Escape by Jll Williams.
