Last weekend was a forced holiday so I had some extra time to do some of the things I’ve been meaning to do since we moved into our house. Up until now I have had to use two closests, one in our bedroom, the other in our guest room, to fit all of my clothing. Sunday night I went through everything and put aside any article I hadn’t worn comfortably in the past 6 months (I’m a little chunkier since I got married) or haven’t worn at all in the past year. I was amazed with myself since I’ve always been very sentimental about my stuff. If there is a memorable moment associated with anything then I keep it.
As a result, I’ve managed to consolidate everything into half our bedroom closet, with the rest fitting in my dresser. Mike is a little confused since I moved his socks and underwear to the dresser drawers on the other side of the room, but I’m sure he’ll get used to it.

Hehe, I’m going through a reorganization too. I have packed almost all my stuff…two backpacks and 6 boxes. 3 boxes sent off to Oklahoma, another 3 left in a closet at a friend’s place to send when I leave Japan in the summer! I hope Mike gets used to the socks…that can be devastating.
