		<description>No, it's not that they are too busy to come to the library, it's more that they think, erroneously that "the library has everything," that "all libraries are alike, so if my college library had it, so will the public library" and that they see their job as over once the kids leave the classroom with the assignment.  I was never able to make clear to them how letting us know about assignments would benefit them, and they never quite got that it would benefit their students enough to be worth their time.  The biggest problem is that teachers don't get any library education with their teaching degrees.  I think things have improved with email, but if it makes you feel any better, they don't work with their school librarians either.</description>
