I added two new link today:
Strangechord
I enrolled in summer and fall classes last week. The enrollment process at my school is becoming increasingly cumbersome. They apparently don’t trust us enough to be able to figure out what classes we need to take. We have always been required to conference with our advisor via email. However, now we have to forward email replies with granted permission from advisors to admissions to double check everything. Then they lift the hold on our record so we can actually physically enroll. It wouldn’t be so bad if the process worked each time, but unfortunately, I have yet to go through an enrollment period where I haven’t needed to email admissions with a second, sometimes third email saying “excuse me, but I still can’t seem to enroll in so and so class”.
At the moment, I am taking a full load both semesters. I’m not entirely sure I know what I’m doing, but I guess I’ll find out. You see, if I take a full load summer and fall, then (if I’ve added this up right) I will be done with all my classes and can take my comprehensive exam in the spring without the added stress of class and homework. Perhaps the prospect of completing this degree is fogging my brain and making me think I’m capable of more than I am, but I have a few weeks after classes start to decide whether I want to drop a class or two.
