Birthday Fun

It was my birthday recently and and there were cool-io gifts all around! I got an early b-day present from my mom-in-law at Sunfest this year - a C minor Native American Flute. It’s very cool and I’m having a blast learning how to play (though I’m still quite squeaky…). I also got The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. It’s basically a Survival Handbook for the inevitable Zombie Invasion, I was quite proud of myself for being well aware of many of the more important rules/techniques/tips throughout the book (yes, I love Zombies/Zombie movies, I see nothing wrong with that…). Carleen also threw a surprise party for me and our friend Matt E. whose B-day is later in the month, inviting all the D&D group over - we had tons of cake, balloons, and Kung-Fu Critters; much fun.

As an added birthday bonus, George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead was moved up from October to June 24th - George is so thoughtful. I still have yet to see High Tension (damn Bartlesville…) but we’re going out to Tulsa to see it this weekend.
