September 2005

I’ve been listening to Blues Traveler quite a bit recently (all their, “pre-Four” stuff - which is far superior to anything that has come out since that disc), specifically their Save His Soul album. One of my favorites is on that album, a song called Whoops!, a great tune about all the ways Humankind has “goofed” from screwing around with DNA to Animal Testing. Here’s the chorus:

But the possibility exists, no matter how scary it may seem,
That the Earth was our Heaven and we did not know,
There were rules for us to break
But maybe now we’ll find out too late
What a clever Hell we can make
Whoops!

Ha! I love the “Whoops!” it’s just a great song and I thought I would share. Incedentally, I just found out Blues Traveler has put out another 2 albums since the last one I bought - plus a DVD/Live Recording - which I think would definetely be worth the money, as, there is no better way to hear BT than a live show. They always have been, and will always remain, a live band.

A peculiar Austrian village name

And yes it is a real name

You’ve all heard the old term applied to a pregnant woman, she’s “with child”. Well, what happens when said woman has the child? Is she “without child” now?

It’s a conundrum.
