Lo! The Halfling Speaks!

Oh my! It’s been quite some time since my last post. How many blogs have you visited in which 90% of the posts start out this way? I’ve seen quite a few. Anyway - some updates.

Leaving for New York on Monday morning - so STOKED! I haven’t been home for Christmas in years, so this is a special treat, plus I wasn’t home for all that long the last time I went up (Jamie’s Wedding) so despite the inevitable delay in Chicago, this may actually feel a bit like a vacation.

Much of the reason I have been a bit silent these past months revolves around my returning to Everquest after a long break. Everquest is an Online Roleplaying Game - also known as an MMORPG - Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game - in which you create a character, choosing your race and class and then wander around going on quests and slaying evil critters. Currently I am playing a Halfling Druid - and quite enjoying the race/class combo.

The Home Repairs are, of course, slowing down as my Everquest playing increases, however the kitchen is fairly close to being done - nails need to be completly hammered in, and wood filler needs to be applied and moulding needs to be put up and a bit of painting, but other than that, it’s as near a fully functional kitchen as I can make it.

Oh! My best friend Jamie is getting married (again) - yes - the same Jamie I mentioned above. He’s marrying a girl named Krissy and they have a cutesy website - but I don’t have an address, but maybe if you just kinda wander around the Internet for a bit you could find it. They are both really happy and I am happy for them. I guess this is where I make some lame joke like, “Go Jamie! Second times a charm!”. Of special note - I am the best man for this wedding, which means, I suppose that I have to make a toast or some such nonsense. Too bad i nearly failed my Public Speaking class. Oh well.

I am far too loopy to proceed with any further updates, so I guess you’ll have to wait another 3 months for me to forget a bunch of stuff and remember a few things I forgot to write in this one. Take care all and I hope this Christmas season finds you stingy and penny-pinching (come on! Christmas is all about the department stores anyway - save some cash - take the kids out sledding - and be happy in the presence of your family - that’s what this season is all about. That and Hot Chocolate. With marshmallows. oh yeah….)
